TED BLACKMON
Founder
Dr. Ted Blackmon is an inventor and serial entrepreneur with expertise in the field of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP). His list of start-up innovations in AWP is unparalleled, having invented the foundational software and work processes in the late 1990s leveraging NASA technology that he developed to plan the daily activities for the Sojourner rover, the first robotic vehicle to land on Mars.
Dr. Blackmon holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from UC Berkeley, with a minor in neurology. He worked at Stark's Lab, where many pioneering developments in AI and VR/AR were born. His passion for sustainability in capital projects, which he developed during his days working with NASA and before the Internet was popularized, inspired him to join the industry. Dr. Blackmon's technology transfer efforts at NASA led to the creation of a robotic imaging system using AI and VR to help stabilize the Chernobyl disaster in 1999.
Before the term "AWP" was coined, Dr. Blackmon was pioneering the combination of agile and lean work processes through Virtual Construction Models and BIM in construction trailers and engineering offices. Over 30 years of direct construction field experience have resulted in WorkPacks, Dr. Blackmon's most recent start-up in AWP. In stealth development for over eight years, WorkPacks has been brought to market with the mission of scaling AWP in the capital projects industry in a cost-effective fashion.
In 2014, Ted founded JOVIAN, a venture studio focused on sustainability startups. JOVIAN's mission is to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs to help save the planet using NASA technology, by transforming the capital projects industry in support of sustainability and empowering a circular economy.
Ted received the CETI Award from FIATECH in 2014 for his outstanding research in the construction industry over the past 10 years. He was honored as a recipient of the Penn State Alumni Achievement Award in 2005. Ted received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State in 1992 as the Student Marshall, graduating at the top of his class. Through his work with WorkPacks and his contributions to industry organizations like CII, Ted continues to promote his vision and share his practical experience and expertise to enable a more efficient and sustainable capital projects industry.

Chief Executive Officer
Robert is the Chief Executive Officer outside and inside at WorkPacks, where he oversees all day-to-day operations of the company and ensures on-time and on-budget project execution for our customers. Robert is accomplished in product development, product management, international sales and marketing, and business unit leadership. For over 25 years, he has led successful design, planning, and execution of capital investments and engineering projects in specialty chemicals and advanced materials production.
Over his career, Robert has spearheaded sales worth hundreds of millions of dollars by developing teams of developers, sales engineers and front line sales teams to deliver engineered solutions through data driven decision-making and risk management. Prior to his work with Jovian and WorkPacks, Robert served as Head of New Product Introduction at Cygnet-Texkimp, Northwich United Kingdom where he was the Technical Lead for an Oxidation & Carbonization Facility. He was also the Vice President of the Process Systems Division at Harper International in Lancaster, New York, where he identified technical skills and conceived organization structure needed for the company to properly serve design/build carbon fiber full-line business. Robert is also a partner in the Jovian Ventures Group.

As CPTO and Co-Founder of WorkPacks, Rayan leads the product and technology strategy behind a multi-product SaaS platform designed for capital projects and industrial construction. His role focuses on creating scalable product architectures, driving market-aligned innovation, and building the organisational capabilities required to grow a vertical SaaS business globally.
Rayan oversees product strategy, platform engineering, data architecture, and technical operations, ensuring the product suite meets enterprise-grade standards for performance, security, and reliability. He translate complex industry challenges into commercially viable software products, guides long-term roadmap execution, and aligns cross-functional teams around clear value creation goals. His work includes shaping Digital Twin capabilities, building integrated execution and data workflows, establishing ecosystem partnerships, and driving adoption across EPCs and owner-operators. As both a product strategist and technology leader, Rayan have been responsible for evolving WorkPacks from a niche solution into a globally recognized platform, enabling predictable, data-driven project delivery at scale.
Rayan brings over 24 years of experience providing software solutions and digital transformation services for the EPC industry while he worked for CCC, one of the leading international EPC contractors worldwide who has been a recognized proven leader in construction technology.
Rayan worked closely with CCC senior management to invent, develop and trailblaze construction software, successfully deployed on key mega projects exceeding 20 billion Dollars in total cumulative value.
Rayan is a strong visionary leader and a “let’s roll up our sleeves” problem solver with a deep understanding of EPC software requirements. He is very passionate towards helping end-users realize true business value.

Eric is Vice President of Sales and Business Development at WorkPacks where he oversees all sales and business development activities for the company. Eric is responsible for communicating the WorkPacks vision, building lasting relationships and delivering value creation to clients.
He is a high performing, proven enterprise software, and solutions executive with a very successful track record of improving productivity and delivering on desired business outcomes. Mr. Crivella has been an integral part of development of the AWP / WFP Best Practice and the implementation of ConstructSim and 4D/5D/nD BIM technology on well over 200 projects over the past 20 years. Eric is a recognized subject matter expert and thought leader on AWP/WFP, BIM, 4D/5D, and the leading solutions and practices to align and integrate people, processes, technology and culture to transform capital projects.
While he has held senior roles in business development at Bentley Systems and Common Point, Eric is extremely passionate about Advanced Work Packaging and delivering successful outcomes. He loves collaborating with colleagues at the Construction Industry Institute and the Jovian Ventures network of AWP companies including: Bor-Neo, Construct-X, AWP University on the programmatic adoption of AWP to save the planet. Eric is from Pittsburgh and now calls Katy Texas home.

Amin is the Vice President of Product and Implementation at WorkPacks. He is an AWP technical expert and hands-on IT savvy backed up with deep experience in agile based software development processes and release management as well as requirements specifications and systems prototyping. Amin oversees and co creates the overall product vision and strategy, working closely with development and business teams, and leading the execution of the overall product strategy and roadmap.
Amin comes with 10 years experience in the construction industry and project controls. He is an AWP and project control systems expert with Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification and solid experience in consulting and leading system rollouts in mega Oil& Gas, Infrastructure, and Civil projects across the Middle East, Gulf, and Central Asia. Amin worked for 9 years as a Regional Project Control Engineer with CCC, one of the top-ranked EPC contractors worldwide, providing consultancy and leading control systems implementations to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and overall project management. Succeeded in bridging Lean and AWP on several mega projects leading to almost 30% improvement in overall productivity. Applied BIM Controls on several Infrastructure and Residential projects leading to better coordination and less waste. Amin is an Engineer by heart, with passion in technology and digitization.

Doug Theret serves as the VP of Technical Sales at WorkPacks. Doug has over 10+ years of experience in the engineering, construction, and technology industries. Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert adept at steering technical sales, nurturing client relationships, and spearheading digital transformations utilizing specialized software, tools, and processes tailored to the engineering and construction domains. Over the course of his career, Doug honed his subject matter expertise in Advanced Work Packaging, WorkFace Planning, 4D Planning and Scheduling, Project Controls, 3D Design & VDC/BIM applications, construction solutions, and developing automation processes and workflows to significantly improve the safety, productivity, and efficiency of owner-operators, EPCs, CMs, and constructors.

Hemant Suryavanshi is the Sales and Implementation Manager for APAC at WorkPacks, bringing with him over 16 years of experience in the engineering, construction, and software/technology industries. As a subject matter expert in digital construction, advanced work packaging (AWP), and 4D/5D construction modeling, Hemant offers automation, integration, I-twin services, and solutions to optimize the construction process from planning to design through operations. Hemant has worked extensively in the power, oil and gas, and petrochemical sectors and is recognized for his multi-disciplinary versatility and outstanding analytical skills.
Currently pursuing an MBA from Curtin University in Perth, Australia, Hemant also holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma in Piping Engineering and Technology from the University of Pune, as well as a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai. Throughout his career, Hemant has held various positions at organizations such as Worley, Cohesive Group, DCW, and Bentley Systems. He has successfully implemented and managed construction planning departments on numerous mega projects across the globe.
Hemant's expertise spans a wide range of programs and his core skills encompass interoperability, AWP technology, cloud technology, design engineering, reports management, project coordination, strategic planning, scheduling, lean construction practices, and last planner systems.

Key Account Manager
Aaron is the Key Account Manager at WorkPacks, as well as one of the implementation leads for WorkPacks deployments. Aaron specializes in 3D/4D modeling software, construction planning automation, visual communication, and AWP / WFP training and coaching.
Aaron jumped straight into implementing AWP and WFP on projects right out of school as one of the first members of Construct-X. Over the past 6 years, Aaron has helped to establish successful AWP programs at several large enterprises in the oil & gas, chemical, mining, and power industries, including Dow, Eastman, ExxonMobil, Rio Tinto, and Southern Company. Aaron is the lead developer and pioneer of AWP and WFP Playbooks, including role-based playbooks, process-based playbooks, narrative process diagrams, and in-depth job aids & tutorials.
